Sometimes recognition comes late and sometimes too late. In the case of Elliot Tiber, it has taken well over 40 years but has come at last. His book Taking Woodstock is a bestseller, now distributed in 13 countries and  credited by its small publishing house (Square One Publishers) with single-handedly putting its business in the black. Further, it has been made into a delightful movie by “A” list director Ang Lee and is presently featured on cable.

Then it was about soccer, cutting corners, and sibling rivalry. Now it’s about a girl who is at a crossroads. She is a complicated kid. Her troubled family has great expectations of her. Her inner beauty and self are waiting to emerge.”

Jane Hix and Dapne Goldmanpersonal profile

When I met Jane Hix and Daphne Goldman for coffee and this interview, I never thought they would have such an impact on me. This couple, committed to each other for 25 years, made me believe that dreams really do come true and love can last a lifetime.

Jane and Daphne have it all--love, companionship, devotion--and they want the world to know it. They’re great role models for long-term gay and lesbian couples. If they could be married, they certainly would. The two women met as law students at Temple University and have been together ever since.
